Essex Working Well Digital Health Check Programme
The Essex Working Well Digital Health Check programme, funded by Essex County Council, is designed to support the health and wellbeing of employees across Essex by making it easier to access quick, preventative health checks in the workplace.
Using the SiSU Health digital check stations, staff can complete a simple, confidential health check in just five minutes. The check provides instant feedback on key health indicators such as blood pressure, weight, BMI and lifestyle factors—helping individuals to better understand their health and identify any potential risks early.
Why it matters
Many people, particularly men, can delay seeking medical advice or visiting their GP. The Digital Health Check programme helps to break down these barriers by bringing convenient, accessible health checks directly into workplaces. Early awareness can lead to early action—and in some cases, can be life-saving.
A real-life impact
Ged Dunne from PALS Ltd took part in a Digital Health Check through the Essex Working Well programme. The results highlighted health issues he was previously unaware of, prompting him to visit his GP and take action.
As Ged says:
