Big Team Challenges are always popular, but our East Coast of Spain was the biggest to date. Even your pets benefited:

everyone to move a little more, whatever that looked like for them. It created some healthy
competition, plenty of laughs and got people talking about their wellbeing. Even my dog Daisy
got involved and managed to reach her target weight during the challenge, so it wasn’t just
our staff who benefited! It really showed that small, consistent changes can make a big
difference.”
The bi-annual, monthly challenges are funded by Find Your Active, and enable Essex employees the opportunity to take part in our fun … and competitive virtual walking challenge started in Malaga and end up in the beautiful city of Barcelona, passing through 8 key cities and areas of natural beauty. Employers from all sectors and across the whole of Essex sign up.
- 164 teams/856 participants
- 85 trees (one tree planted for each 10 active participants) will be planted in Malawi as part of a reforestation programme
- 183,776 km collectively walked – that’s 4.5 x around the world
