The Adriatic Coast virtually walking challenge is now open
The challenge is open to any employer with a base in Essex. Funded by the Active Essex, Find Your Active Fund. This September we’re walking the stunning Adriatic coast, starting in Venice, walking virtually through 13 key milestones to finish in Kotor. The challenge assumes participants will complete 10,000 steps each day to reach the final milestone between 1st and 30th September.
Our May Challenge attracted 856 participants, who collectively walked 4.5 times around the world and enabled 85 trees to be planted as part of a reforestation programme in Malawi, and we are hoping to smash this in September!
If you are employed within a workplace sited within the Essex County Council/Active Essex boundaries, you are welcome to take part.
It’s quick and easy to sign up, teams of 6 colleagues, you’ll be able to track your teams progress via the Big Team Challenge App, using a Challenge leaderboard and also a team leaderboard, you can send messages to your team members and upload photos via the App as well.
The winning teams receive a certificate, celebrating their success.
