Mental Health Awareness week programme for staff
Monday 9th May saw the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week and our Working Well and Positive Mental Health Champions organised various events at all Highways offices to encourage people to connect with each other after a long period of uncertainty and isolation. As we don’t need much of an excuse to eat cake and biscuits, some people kindly brought in cake and Ringway Jacobs bought a selection of biscuits which were much appreciated. A selection of mental health videos were made available, including an interesting interview with Leah Powell who spoke about her own experiences with Anxiety, which resonated with many colleagues who contacted her afterwards to say that they felt more able to talk about their own struggles as a result.
Working Well would like to thank Julia Kerr, Joe Hazelton, Leah Powell, Lucy Dunford, Sonia Walker, Lauren Underwood, Angela Mower, Paula Lodge, Paul Devaney, Hayley Street, Laura Nessling, Sioux Bond, Debbie Goddard, Ellen Franklin, Lynne Lake, Karen Wilson and Nicky Bell for their support in organising these events.
