Suffolk & North East Essex and Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Systems (ICS’s) are working on a menopause research project with the University of Suffolk. This research will take part over a four month period starting on 1st September 2022.
The University of Suffolk will be researching support already available to staff across both ICS’s regarding peri and post menopause. They will be looking into inclusivity in menopause and the key here is to appreciate and ensure this is tackled in an inclusive way as not all individuals who experience menopause will identify as a woman and the LGBTQIA+ and BAME communities need to be taken into consideration when ensuring content is inclusive.
