What does it include?
Musculoskeletal (MSK) Health Workplace Lunch and Learn session:
Musculoskeletal (MSK) problems such as back pain, arthritis, sprains and strains are the most common problem in the workplace and are one of the commonest causes of absence from work. MSK problems affect our bones and joints, they cause pain and reduce dexterity and mobility. This limits people’s ability to work and impacts the productivity of businesses, both large and small. A musculoskeletal (MSK) healthy workplace enables people to be healthy, fit and stay at work. Despite this, many individuals and businesses are not aware of how they can help themselves and others. MSK Aware aims to help you address this.
Are you MSK Aware? Are you being proactive and taking actions to promote MSK health, prevent MSK problems from arising in the workplace and support those with MSK problems to stay at work? First, recognise that MSK health is important to you and your organisation. Then learn about Be MSK Aware key actions for how you can meet and build on your legal duties to support high-quality MSK health and wellbeing in your workplace.
MSK Aware CIC is a not-for-profit organisation working to improve the musculoskeletal health of people in the UK and beyond. It has developed to take forward MSK Aware and the work undertaken by the Bone and Joint Research Group, Royal Cornwall Hospital, UK. It is led by Professor Tony Woolf, a consultant rheumatologist.
