We’re walking the sunny east coast of Spain this May!

 

May is National Walking Month, and we want to encourage all Essex employees to take up our walking challenge.  With thanks to Find Your Active for funding our 4th Big Team Challenge.

 

 

 

Open to any Essex employer, simply scan the QR code, sign up, set up your team and invite your colleagues.  The more teams the merrier!

Use the Big Team Challenge mobile app:

Mobile app users should enter “workingwell” when asked for the Challenge Website address.

 

You can also sync your fitness tracker to the Big Team Challenge App, so you can follow the your team’s progress, as well as view the Challenge leaderboards.

Our Challenge starts in sunny Cape Reinga at the top of the island and we’ll walk south, finishing in Wellington.

  • 1043.6km / 648.5 miles with 6 key milestones.
You’ll be able to enter teams of 6 for the challenge, and we suggest that you start to allocate or advertise for Team Leaders, who can sign up and invite their colleagues to join their team.
Don’t forget The Young and the Breathless (Provide Community) will be wanting to maintain their current BTC crowns … an ideal motivation to get moving now the days are getting warmer and longer.
Our last challenge in January 2026 enabled 46 trees to be planted in a reforestation programme in Kenya.
