NHS Hormone Replacement Therapy Prescription Prepayment Certificate (HRT PPC) launches on 1st April 2023
The Department of Health and Social Care announced they are introducing the HRT PPC to reduce the cost of HRT prescriptions. This service will be available from 1 April 2023 and you will be able to buy an HRT PPC from this page.
The HRT PPC could save you money if you pay for NHS prescribed HRT medicines regardless of why they are prescribed. Before buying an HRT PPC, check if you’re entitled to free NHS prescriptions and other help with health costs using our eligibility checker.
The HRT PPC will cover certain HRT medicines for twice the single prescription charge and will be valid for 12 months. It will save you money if you need to pay for 3 or more HRT prescription charges within 12 months.
The HRT PPC does not cover all HRT medicines. Check if it covers your HRT medicine.
If you also get prescriptions for items other than HRT medicine, you may save more with a 3 or 12 month PPC that covers all NHS prescriptions.
