NHS Health and Wellbeing Checks
Working Well are partnering with the EWS NHS Check team. You’ll be able to book the mobile unit to come to your workplace, or signpost to the digital health checks. This service is always very popular and allows you to offer an important health service to your staff … and it’s free!
NHS Check eligibility:
Aged 40-74 yrs you are eligible for an NHS Health Check every five years, as long as you don’t have any of the following:
| Heart disease | Diabetes |
| Chronic kidney disease | Atrial fibrillation |
| High blood pressure | Inherited high cholesterol |
| Transient Ischaemic attack (TIA) | Peripheral arterial disease |
| Heart failure
Stroke |
Currently being prescribed statins to lower cholesterol |
Previous checks having found that you have a 20% or higher risk of getting cardiovascular disease over the next 10 years.
If you are younger than the age bracket, you can still be referred if there is a particular concern about your health and current life choices.
If you are not eligible for the full NHS Check, don’t worry, you can have a Lifestyle check instead
