Are you ready to promote Stoptober?

This year’s campaign is “When you stop smoking, good things start to happen”, reminding smokers of the many benefits of stopping smoking.  There’s lots of proven tools to help on the quitting journey.  If a smoker can make it to 28 days smokefree, they are five times more likely to quit for good.  Why not visit the Better Health Quit Smoking website for more details.

There’s also a range of resources available form the Campaign Resource Centre

  • Campaign toolkit containing key messages, stats and facts for long/short copy for newsletters and websites
  • Digital Posters
  • Social Media Assets
  • Web banners
  • Graphics for digital screens

Carrie 7 months in – Morning, I am still not smoking and have already mentioned your seminar to many people!! I would recommend it to anyone as it is absolutely life changing. Thank you so very much  Alan Carr’s Easyway

Brian 1 month in I can confirm I haven’t smoked since attending, I was asked to go by a friend of mine who was going and he was on at me to give up, I went to not let him down, even on arrival I thought I’ll end up buying cigarettes after this. I was very sceptical I can honestly say though I have not touched a cigarette since. I have no plans to either. Can’t recommend this service enough.  Alan Carr’s Easyway

  • The Sound Doctor support – uses films, animations and tips from doctors, consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • 1:1 support from an trained Stop Smoking Adviser and free Nicotine Replacement Therapy: skin patches, chewing gum, inhalators, lozenges and mouth spray or e-cigs can help reduce cravings and manage withdrawal symptoms experienced when stopping.
  • Alan Carr’s Easyway support – online seminar group (up to 15 smokers) – 100% drug free!

Free Stop Smoking Advisor training for your workplace – we pay you £75 for every 28 day quitter!

Yes, that is completely free!  It’s easy, identify staff, complete the NSSCT eLearning and an online training with EWS.  It gives the added incentive that staff can complete their Stop Smoking support at work, with a trained advisor and NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy).  You could use the money earned to support your wider Working Well programme!

If you want to organise the training contact your Working Well Facilitator or email essex.workingwell@nhs.net
